20thanniversarymac.com is currently running on my Xserve Dual 1.33 G4 with 10.5.8 Apache Web Server down in my dungeon
20thanniversarymac.com was launched on May 7, 2010 as a center hub of information for the TAM. I started about a week and half prior, getting the layout together and scouring the internet for information. This is my first web site build and was created on my Powermac G5. For the most part it wasn't that complicated until it came time to link up my domain to my home IP. If you know about Dynamic IP addressing then you probably know the routes you may take to get it going.
For me it was the most complicated part of this journey but after a few days of research I finally got it straightened out and now have everything linked up. As I get more information and as time permits I will add more to this site, keeping it updated and running smooth. For the most part the site should remain up, unless a major update to the site is needed or updates to the server, but those should be minimal and not too time consuming. Most of the updates will take effect while the site is running, so you could refresh the page and find something different. I have about three backups of the site on different drives so incase of some mishap I can easily reintegrate a replacement.
