Has it been a year already?

We've been up officially for one year now. I've taken on a few other websites so I haven't had as much time as I'd like to put into this one but there's been some good editions to the site you should enjoy over the year.

Thanks for everyone who's visited and stopped in for a look around. Feel free to sign up in the community page if you'd like to be a member. There's a new forum for the TAM AXON 2.0 mini site I added a few days ago.

If you like'd the old tamaxon I spent some time rebuilding it as best I could so it's available for those retro seekers.

There have been some recent changes to the Spruz free networks that have been put in place recently and they are worth noting. As far as I can tell they won't effect the TAM network for quite some time. A limit on members has been put at 250 on the free networks, there are also space limitations for photos and videos.

For the most part this shouldn't be a problem. If and when the TAM Spruz network reaches 250 we will have to begin charging for new memberships. This is still better than Ning's 150 member limit and has more features while remaining free.

So with that being said, it might be a good idea to sign up in the community section. The first 250 members will be able to sign up for free. After that, we will either have to not allow new members or upgrade to a paying network to remove the member limit.

First week online

20thanniversarymac has survived its first week online. A few minor mishaps along the way but I believe everything is sorted out. Still updating links and will continue to add material.

Been experiencing some minor problems with either the DNS host or my ISP, believe it may be ISP due to bad lines. The site will randomly drop connection and then it will be back up. I've reported the problem and next week a service tech will take a look. Problem seems to mostly occur when it's raining but does persist even when it's not. Worst case scenerio we could be down for awhile when they make the repairs.

After some checking around I found another network to use for the forum. I appologize to those that already signed up with the Lefora forum. This new forum is closer to what Ning offers and I believe will be more community friendly, offering many of the features that the Ning network has offered, such as uploading photos, videos, chat, forums, blogs, downloading options, etc.

From what I've read Spruz, the new network I chose, will continue to offer their free networks based on their corporate structure where Ning was not able to do so. I'm still customizing the community home page but I believe it is ready to join. I'll keep the Lefora forum around for a few weeks and then delete it. Besides having limited features at Lefora, it proved to be problematic to join for some people with some built in security protocols on some browsers like IE and Firefox.

Again, sorry for the big change but I think in the end it will be better for everyone.
